We started our journey on April 6th 2007 from Cape Wrath, the most north-westerly point of the British mainland and travelled to the Cape of Good Hope, a journey of approximately 12,000 miles.

Our route took us through Scotland, Belgium, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Swaziland and South Africa.

Although we were journeying to Africa, we spent a lot of time in Europe and the Middle East first. This was intentional - we were looking forward to the pre-Africa part of our journey too.

We set off in April 2007 and arrived at the Cape at the end of October 2007 - 7 months of adventuring.
